GLOBAL CHANGE BIOGEOGRAPHY & PREDICTIVE MODELING
I am a biogeographer and spatial modeler who investigates the influence of human activities on the global redistribution of species. My primary focus is to uncover biogeographical patterns that arise from this reshuffling of biological communities across different scales. Additionally, I am dedicated to applying and advancing machine learning techniques to accurately map current and future changes in species distribution and ecosystems.
Some specific research questions I explore include:
By addressing these research questions, I aim to contribute to a better understanding of the consequences of human-induced changes on species distribution and develop effective conservation measures.

Some specific research questions I explore include:
- How does the globalization of trade and travel impact the redistribution of species and biological communities worldwide?
- What is the relative significance of climate compared to other factors like land use dynamics in shaping the distribution and co-occurrence of threatened species?
- Which areas face higher pressures from human activities, and how can we plan and protect these areas to prevent and minimize associated risks for biodiversity?
By addressing these research questions, I aim to contribute to a better understanding of the consequences of human-induced changes on species distribution and develop effective conservation measures.
